Synopsis

Pregnant eight‑week Serafina is devastated when her fiancé Nico intends to give her baby to his brother’s widow. After betrayal, domestic violence and imprisonment, she flees Sicily bare‑foot to Chicago. Seeking safety, she enters a protective marriage with feared mafia don Dante Conti.
